We’ve been busy helping new companies get off the ground. Branding is one of the most important aspects of setting up a new business. Branding affects how people view the company, whether or not it is memorable and it helps to form lasting connections with clients and buyers.
Wild Lavender Interiors
We were approach by Ailen Niedfeld about branding for her fast growing interior design business. Ailen described her style as classic and elevated.
Laying the Groundwork
We took inspiration from examples of the interiors designs Ailen has created in the past, sampling the color palette directly from her work. When presenting initial ideas to clients we like to create mood boards. For this project we included samples of elegant serif fonts and color palette options as well.
What’s Next?
After gathering feedback from the mood board, we used that direction to guide the branding elements. We refined the color choices and narrowed down the typography. While reviewing the logo concepts we were challenged by Ailen to incorporate more organic shapes into the logo. The idea of a realistic lavender branch was an integral part of the final logo design.
The Result
We evaluated all options and presented them to the client. The final touches involved making sure that the organic shapes tied in neatly with the logo typography.
Additional Branding Elements
After finalizing the logo, we explored how the brand designs would translate as a social media icon, business cards and other promotional materials.
How will the brand evolve?
Over time all brands evolve and change. It’s important to share the brand, and create engagement – not only on social media but with real clients in-person. Getting started is the hardest part, but growing a brand takes time. After establishing branding, creating a website design is an important next step.
