The DesignUps Brand Strategy process starts as a cyclical process and goes through multiple phases and adjustments based on audience reaction. Our agile approach incorporates creative ideas from our team, the client, content writers, designers and developers. After gaining input from everyone involved, we are able to gain perspective that helps refine the company branding.
1) Brand Discovery
As kick-off the branding process, it is critical that we gather as much information as possible. This invovles a questionnaire and kick-off meeting or call with the client. The main objective is the define the business problems and goals. Once we are in agreement, we are ready to begin.
2) Research & Brand Strategy
Before we make any big changes, we do a lot of research so that we understand the brand history, competitors and the industry. As the picture comes into focus we then shift to developing a brand strategy. We outline the positioning, messaging and brand voice. This is then applied to all other creative work.
3) Brand Development
Using the clearly defined brand voice and messaging we apply this to creative concepts. Typically we create several concepts to review with the client and discuss the pros and cons of the various solutions. During this phase we often create mood boards as a starting point which will evolve into a brand style guide. This includes things such as logo design, font system, color palette and layouts.
4) Delivery & Support
Your brand is a living and breathing thing. We deliver all the final files for print and web along with best practices for usage. We also provide ongoing support to extend the branding as needed for brochures, websites, print collateral and ongoing campaigns.
